Meet the Team
Warren Carr
Warren Carr, Founder and President, has worked in Zambia, Sub-Saharan Africa for over 15 years. He was managing a children’s village offering at-risk orphaned and vulnerable children rehabilitation and social emotional learning opportunities for nine of those years and spent the previous six years working with young people living on the streets of Lusaka the capital city of Zambia. Providing leadership, coaching and mentoring services to over 750 children ages 2-19, 250 staff on a 130 acre campus with a school, clinic, 40-acre farm, 64 houses and a 6-flat intake facility. Warren graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a degree in Mass Communication. Prior to his work in Zambia, he worked two years as a Behavior Specialist at a residential treatment facility in Stroudsburg, PA and ten years as a young adult coordinator in New York City, New York.
Victoria Carr
Vicky felt a calling to missions from a very young age. She always dreamed of becoming a missionary and working with children abroad. When she met Warren and they decided to marry, their combined passion for children and missions led them to serve full time in Lusaka, Zambia. They have been in Zambia for the last 15 years working with orphans and vulnerable children. She attended Forham University in The Bronx, NY where she received a Bachelors of Arts in Biology. She has spent the last 16 years homeschooling their four children. The oldest two daughters have graduated high school and are in their third and second year of college. Her third daughter has spent the last year doing a Gap Year Leadership program in Missouri. She is still homeschooling Simeon who has a year and a half left of High School. She loves to serve by using her hands and talent to bless and teach others.
Kristi Zeller
Kristi has a lifelong passion for serving others and missions. As a youth, she attended mission trips and served locally in her community. She later founded two non-profit organizations and was a youth minister for 15 years. In 2011, she took her youth on a mission trip to Zambia, which changed her life. She then dedicated her life to serving the Lord through serving His children in Zambia. Kristi has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master in Finance from Texas A&M University and resides in Kingwood, Texas with her husband and three daughters. She owns and operates Kingwood Revolution Volleyball Club.
Melissa Utley
Melissa is a wife, mom, grandmother and Zambian loving volunteer. A graduate of SMU in Dallas, Texas with an education degree. She taught first grade, then retired to raise her 3 kids, volunteering at all of their schools. Now that they are all grown (Jake (Kate), Luke and Abbey, “Millie” to Hayes and Walker), she balances her time between grand mom duties, riding her horse, Skye and all things Zambia. This country and its people have become a part of her life. Her prayer is that God will use her for His glory in this beloved country.
Weston Mwaba
Weston Mwaba is a trained teacher, missionary born-again Christian. He did his mission training in the UK (Birmingham, St. Andrews Hall and Jamaica, United Theological college of West Indies). He later made several missions trips locally and different parts of Africa and Zambia. Weston believes in teamwork and collective responsibility but also acknowledges accountability to God, self, and others. He also believes that our commitment should go beyond self and must be service above self! He also has great passion in working with and helping the needy in society. Brother Weston is also involved in value additional programs, i.e. food processing, including sausage making smoking of different food products, and many more.
